The Real Constitutional Crisis
The allied forces’ war against the Iranian regime was not merely consequential; it was historic and undeniably necessary. In fact, it was way overdue. Its beneficiaries extend far beyond the people of Iran, encompassing the broader Middle East and, ultimately, the rest of the world, especially the American people.
Iranian officials, themselves, openly acknowledged stockpiles of uranium enriched to 60 percent, material that, within weeks, could be pushed to weapons-grade 90 percent. By their own estimates, that translates to roughly eleven nuclear bombs. Pair that with their arsenal of short- and medium-range ballistic missiles, alongside long-range systems in development, and one need not be alarmist to recognize the trajectory: a direct and imminent threat to the Western world as we know it.
So what, exactly, are the congressional Democrats and their cronies whining about? Strategic success? Because that’s what this looks like to most of the world, especially to those 90 million Iranians who the Islamist mullahs have taken hostage for nearly 50 years. Yet on cue, the legacy media wrings its hands, Hollywood clutches its pearls, and the political left reacts as if preventing nuclear escalation is somehow… impolite.
To answer that, one must step back and observe a larger picture, one that is not hidden, merely persistently ignored, even though it is often right in plain sight.
Ordinary Americans, particularly working people, have witnessed a peculiar and visceral hostility toward Donald Trump, not just as a man, but toward virtually everything he says or does. Republican commentators have labeled this phenomenon “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” or TDS. Yet that diagnosis, while catchy, is incomplete.
The reaction is not merely personal; it is existential for their own self-preservation. Because this isn’t about personality. It’s about political disruption. History has never been kind to Democratic Party Machine disruptors.
Here are a few historical parallels, at least in tone, if not in precise equivalence. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by the Democrats because he forced them to abandon slavery and surrender in the Civil War. JFK was assassinated by the Left because he became a threat to their cause. Rudy Giuliani faced significant, violent, and direct threats of aggression from the New York Mafia while prosecuting them in the 1980s. As the Mafia often operated in close alignment with powerful urban Democratic political machines, Rudi Juliani was one conservative New York City prosecutor who went after the Mafia hard. Mob leaders, including John Gotti, considered and ordered contracts for his assassination due to Juliani’s use of RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) laws to dismantle the five prominent mafia Families in New York City.
Equally, many more people, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Bobby Kennedy, and Charlie Kirk, have been unapologetically taken out by the Democratic Party Machine in our recent history just because they were disruptors to that party’s pervasive agenda.
Donald Trump has been a thorn in the Democrats’ pants from the moment he announced his candidacy for President of the United States on June 16, 2015. For years before that, he was a Democrat’s darling, for he had contributed to their campaigns for years. However, running as a Republican changed all that. Interestingly, the same story is true of Elon Musk. When he turned conservative and became a defender of freedom of speech by buying Twitter (Now X), he bought himself a Democratic fatwa on his head.
However, President Trump started to expose not only the Democratic Party’s corruption, but also their authoritarian and elitist policies. In addition, President Trump started utilizing policies that were vastly successful and followed common sense. The problem has been that every time President Trump wins for Americans and the world, he undermines the Democrats’ crooked agenda. Juliani thought fighting the Sicilian Mafia was hard; Donald Trump has learned that the wrath of the Democrat Party Machine, the ruthless American Mafia, is so much worse and so much more savage.
So, the TDS the left has for Trump is actually a hatred for him winning for America. They hate him because he is an interrupter of the Democratic Party’s corruption, and he could soon make the Democratic Party obsolete. President Trump did not simply oppose Democrats’ policies; he challenged the framework itself. He has exposed what most people would characterize as corruption, elitism, and bureaucratic overreach, while he has been advancing policies hard-working Americans view as pragmatic and results-driven.
Thus, what is often labeled as “TDS” may be better understood as resistance, not to personality, but to his disruption. By this interpretation, the opposition would not end with Trump. It would simply transfer to the next figure willing to carry a similar agenda.
So, we have come to a point where the Democrats have been forced to show their true hand: Party over the country, and party over the American people. Subsequently, the term “Radical Democrat” used by the Republican congressional leaders and commentators has now become superfluous. It is akin to saying a fat sumo wrestler, burning fire, radical mafia, or even dangerous cancer cells.
The irony is that the Democrats showed their hands way back in the 19th century when they waged war against their own fellow countrymen in the Civil War. Once the first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, was elected into office, the Democrats feared him as the big interrupter. They then started the Civil War on April 12, 1861, when the Democrats’ Confederate forces fired upon Fort Sumter in South Carolina. After four years of bloody battle and nearly 750,000 fellow Americans dead, the Democrats were forced to accept an unconditional surrender from the Republican general, Ulysses S. Grant.
However, as of this writing, the Democratic Party representatives have yet to acknowledge, apologize, or repent for their barbaric slavery and savage war against America and their fellow citizens.
Democrats may argue that the Civil War was way too long ago and that they have changed. However, history would argue otherwise. Democrats may have changed their playbook, but their DNA has not changed. Case in point, when the Republican majority House of Representatives took a vote on the legislation that the Iranian government is the world’s number one sponsor for terrorism on March 5, 2026, 53 Democrats voted in audacious opposition. This is in the backdrop of a similar vote taken in 2022 that resulted in 420 House members voting yes and only one voting no. The difference this time was that the Democrats are now at such a brink of extinction that any agreement with the Republican majority in the House is a step towards capitulation to President Trump’s forthright policies.
The most epic exposure of the Democratic Party’s DNA, a party of fraud, scam, and violence, came during President Donald Trump’s most recent State of the Union address on February 24, 2026. When he purposefully asked the congressional leaders to stand up if they believed that the priority of the American Government is to protect American citizens and not the illegal Aliens. Tragically, but not surprisingly, no Democratic congressional leader stood up while all the Republicans stood up and clapped for two full minutes. This master act by President Trump not only exposed the true hateful and shameful nature of the Democrats as a party, but more importantly, it exposed a much deeper problem in our government. Perhaps one that got President JFK assassinated after he threatened to expose it.
You see, all of the congressional leaders, whether in the House of Representatives or in the Senate, have sworn to uphold the Constitution. The Declaration of Independence laid the philosophical groundwork that later culminated in the United States Constitution. Yes, the Declaration of Independence explicitly asserts that governments derive their just powers from the “consent of the governed”. This foundational principle means that the government’s legitimacy comes from the approval and agreement of the people, rather than through coercion. And that governments exist to protect the natural rights that include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Declaration further states, “If a government becomes destructive to these purposes (protecting life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness), it is the right and duty of the people to alter or abolish it.”
The preamble to the Constitution itself states that the US government’s goals include ensuring “domestic Tranquility” and providing for the “common defense”. Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution guarantees protection against (foreign)invasion and domestic violence (riots and insurgencies). The Fourteenth Amendment prevents not only the Federal Government, but also the states from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property without due process.
So, when all of the Democratic Party’s representatives sit on their hands and collectively disagree that their priority is to protect their constituents from the foreign invaders who have violated our laws by crossing our borders, then there is a huge conflict here. A huge conflict between what they have sworn to uphold and what they are actually poised to do. And that was all recorded on national TV. This is so troubling that it would be like the bank security guards declaring unanimously that their duty in a bank robbery is to take the side of the bank robbers and not the bank’s assets. Or when questioning the priority of the Secret Service when the president’s life is endangered by a violent anarchist, they respond audaciously and unanimously that their job is to first take care of the anarchist and not the president.
It is also noteworthy to point out that this response by the Democratic congressional leaders was not by one or a few fringe members of the party. This was a unanimous response representing the whole of the Democratic Party. It reflects on the platform of the DNC (Democratic National Committee) as a whole.
One could easily argue that if there has ever been a Constitutional crisis in modern history, this is the one. A constitutional crisis can be generally described as when a branch of government openly defies the constitutional rules or another branch’s authority. Consequently, the Democratic Party, which consists of half of the legislative branch of our government, is definitely in defiance of our Constitution, the supreme law of the United States.
Then, what is there to do? What is the rest of our government supposed to do with the Democratic Party? What are we, the people, supposed to do? In my forthcoming book, Common Sense 2.0, A BBB ( A Big Beautiful Book), echoing the spirit of Thomas Paine, the answer offered is simple but blunt. However, it does require some intestinal fortitude and courage: the Democratic Party must be abolished, once and for all. Not rebranded. Not gently nudged. Replaced. Our Founding Fathers demanded it. Since humility and self-reflection are highly unlikely from the DNC, Common Sense 2.0 makes a civil and non-violent call to action and proposes a clear path to Unconditional Surrender, as Ulysses Grant demonstrated beautifully against the Southern Democratic traitorous rebels in the American Civil War. That’s the only way we can get our America back
